Fall Parade of Homes continues to have record visitors

This year’s Fall Parade of Homes continues the record-setting trend.
“The last couple of parades we’ve had lots of visitors and we are again eclipsing those numbers,” said Rob Ellerman, who leads The Rob Ellerman Team of Reece & Nichols Realtors. “We’ve had even more people than we had for the Spring Parade.”
He made the comments after the opening weekend of the Parade and he expects those record numbers to continue through today, the last day of the Parade.
“This fall we are seeing buyers who are much more educated and who are asking pointed questions,” he said. “They know the market has bounced back and they understand today’s market. They know the homes are priced well and that lots are still a good price.”
Ellerman noted that it wasn’t that long ago that the Kansas City area had a large inventory of available homes and home sites, but that’s not the case now.

“We’ve done a 180 and are on the front end of a quickly dwindling supply of home sites,” he said. “Chances are if you find a home site that you like, it might not be there if you wait to make an offer.”
